South-West Stakeholders Back Babtee For NANS Presidency

Prominent leaders of the student movement in the South-West have endorsed Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, popularly known as Babtee, for the position of President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

The endorsement was made during a meeting of the South-West Elders Forum held in Lagos on Saturday, where stakeholders in the student movement gathered to deliberate on the future direction of the association.

At the end of the deliberations, the forum unanimously threw its weight behind Babtee, citing his leadership qualities and commitment to advancing the welfare and interests of Nigerian students.
Among those present at the meeting were Senior Special Assistant on Students’ Engagement to the President, Sunday Asefon; Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on Student Affairs, Victor Olojede; as well as prominent leaders of the student movement including Kapoo Sunday, Agba, Jelo, Clement, Aro, Safety, Immunity, Ijaya, Decimal, Segun Omojola, Osama, Bewaji, Helma and Kapoon, among others.
The leaders said their endorsement reflects their confidence in Babtee’s ability to provide purposeful leadership for the student body and reposition NANS for greater impact.

Responding to the development, members of The Epoch Movement expressed appreciation to the South-West Elders for their support and guidance, noting that the endorsement further strengthens Babtee’s candidacy ahead of the forthcoming NANS leadership contest.
