Bunmi Tunji-Ojo Appoints Omogunwa As Special Adviser On Political Affairs



The Minister of Interior, Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has approved the appointment of Omogunwa Olakunle Olufemi as his Special Adviser on Political Affairs, effective from October 13, 2025.

The appointment, which was officially conveyed through a letter dated October 20, 2025, and signed by Barr. (Mrs.) Mina Tamuno-Williams, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Interior, stressed Dr. Tunji-Ojo’s commitment to strengthening the political and strategic engagement capacity of the Ministry.

In the appointment letter, Olufemi was charged with critical responsibilities, including the analysis of political trends, improvement of political assets and support structures, facilitation of political networking, and the provision of expert advice on political matters to the Honourable Minister. The letter also indicated that a detailed schedule of duties would guide his role, ensuring effective coordination and synergy in the political advisory portfolio.

The statement further noted that his tenure would run concurrently with that of the Minister unless otherwise determined.

The Minister, through his Chief of Staff, congratulated Omogunwa Olakunle Olufemi and wished him success as he assumes his new responsibilities in the service of the nation.
