The leadership of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Ondo State Chapter, paid a working visit to the Honorable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Ondo state, Hon. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry.
During the visit, YAN Ondo congratulated Hon. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry on his appointment and expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State H.E Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa for entrusting a young leader with the responsibility of steering the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development in Ondo state.
In his remarks, the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Isaiah Oyawale, highlighted the achievements of YAN Ondo since the inauguration of the 4th Assembly. These include:
* Partnership with AIKU Ever-Bright International Foundation (AEBIF) to feed over 300 less-privileged persons across the 18 LGAs of Ondo State.
* Grassroots youth engagement across all 203 wards of the state.
* Active youth advocacy and legislative representation.
* Monthly webinars aimed at youth enlightenment.
* Sustained efforts in giving hope to the hopeless in Ondo state.
Adding her voice, Mrs. Olukemi Okukpe, Director of Youth in the Ministry, commended YAN as a formidable youth group that truly embodies the mandate of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development in Ondo state.
In his response, the Honorable Commissioner, Hon. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry, applauded the Assembly for its outstanding contributions to youth development across the state. He further shared his vision and programs both on youth development and sporting activities with the Assembly, assuring them of collaboration as these initiatives unfold.
Also in attendance were Rt. Hon. Oluwalade Oluwafemi (Deputy Speaker, YAN Ondo state), Prince Olanipekun Idowu (Deputy Chief-Whip), Amb. Adelabu Omiyeniyi (Akoko SW cord), Amb. Alasoadura Ronke (Deputy Minority leader), Amb. Akinnadeju Abiola (Idanre LGA cord) and Amb. Jesupemi Bankole(Dir. of Protocol).
